Internal Analysis

After learning how to interpret the outside world and what dynamics exist between external factors and the organization, this theme focuses on the internal environment. The internal environment comprises everything that matters inside the organization. This can be the organizational structure (reporting structure), processes and procedures, the technology in use, but also the leadership style and corporate culture.

Where the external environment is a “given”, the internal environment is to some extent changeable. Before a strategy to change can be successful, you must know the dynamics in the internal organization.

In this theme, the strengths and weaknesses of an organization will be identified. This is paving the way to the next step in SMP which is design change
